S**t happens, especially when shipping books. The case in point here is a hardbacked book weighing in at just under 2Kg, going by the name of Superking. Cutting to the chase, I have a limited amount of this rather good and extremely informative book with corner damage. Before you run away at the thought of missing pages and dripping in marmalade, it’s the corners – they won’t pass muster for a perfect book, but they don’t detract from the readability at all. Go on. Bag a bargain at £49.99, but when they’re gone, they’re gone.
The website has undergone a large ‘under the hood’ (or is that bonnet?) upgrade today. It does not make the books any cheaper, but keeps us up to date with security and forward compatibility for upgrades. I took the opportunity to improve some areas, which may look slightly different, hopefully clearer, to make the job of buying books as simple as possible.
Our integration of Apple Pay is now working for all addresses that support it – including the UK & Canada, who had previously been denied the pleasure. Not tried Apple Pay? Visit us using Safari on a compatible device, add a book to the cart and click the black Apple Pay button. Put your finger on your Touch ID home button to authorise the payment, then back to PW.com to make it so. Voila!
I am pleased to announce that Apple Pay is now a payment option at the Panzerwrecks website! You’ll need a compatible device and card issued by a participating bank, but that’s it. It’s very quick, simple and incredibly secure. Apple Pay will only show as an option if you are using a compatible device, if not you will see the regular checkout. Android users; we’ll be bringing Android Pay to you as soon as we can.
