Sturmgeschutz III in Combat
The Sturmgeschutz III assault gun began life as an infantry support vehicle intended to destroy field fortifications and machine-gun posts. The evolving war situation and continued upgrades, however, made it one of the most effective and combat-worthy fighting vehicles available to the German armoured forces.
This book illustrates the development history, variants and in particular, the combat use of the Sturmgeschtz III from 1940 to 1945. The author, Markus Zöllner, presents each of the Ausfuhrungs; from A to G in 109 black and white photos reproduced one or two per page and mostly unpublished. The book, in common with the rest of the Tankograd 4000 series, is softcover, portrait and 64 pages in length. It is the latest reprint.
