Xtreme Modelling April 2005

Panzerwrecks 1 is the first book in a series devoted to destroyed and abandoned German tanks and vehicles in the last years of the war, 1944-45. The goal of the publishers is to give the reader photos as large as possible. The photographic sources are many and varied from official to veteran's photos. This accounts for the different quality of the ictures, but they are included for their interest and historical value, not for their photographic quality. Every volume will contain over 100 rare and unpublished photographs. In addition, each volume will have several featured vehicles or units. In this first book, they are the modified Panthers of I/Pz.Rgt.26, Jagdtiger #323 of 3.Kp/s.Pz.Jg.Abt.653 and the Panzer IV/70(A). The book also includes the only known period phooto of the Panther II and many more German or Beute tanks.

Panzerwrecks is going to become an essential series in our book collection. Besides their important historical value, lots of inspiration for our models and dioramas can be extracted from its pages.

Highly recommended.
