| It’s always a happy day when a new edition of Panzerwrecks arrives – collections of photos of smashed and abandoned panzers always get the imagination racing! This series has now reached its tenth volume and the quality of the material is as strong as ever. This time there’s no specific theme, but the ‘X’ volume number was enough to give the authors license for an X Files mini-theme with a section named ‘Freaks and Antiques’, with some oddities shown to tempt the adventurous modeller… Panzerwrecks 2 has been partially revisited in this volume too, expanding on the railcars loaded with Italian AFVs and others. Here’s a selection of some of the hardware in ‘X’; Tiger I, Panther Ausf.D Schulwanne, Panther Ausf.A, G, Pantherstellung, Bergepanther, Jagdpanther, Jagdtiger, Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.B/C, G, H J, Pz.Beob.Wg.IV Ausf.J, Pz.Kpfw.IV Holzattrappe, Panzer IV/70(V), Sturmgeschütz IV, 8.8cm Flak auf Pz.Kpfw.IV, Flakpanzer Wirbelwind prototype, Hummel, StuGIII Ausf.G, F, Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer, Pz.Kpfw.II Schulwanne (mit Holzvergasser), Pz.Kpfw.I Ausf.A, Munitionspanzer I, 7.5cm Pak40/1 auf Sfl.LrS, 4.7cm Pak(t) auf Pz.Kpfw.35R(f), Pz.Sp.Wg. AMR35(f), Pz.Kpfw.L6/40 733(i), Sd.Kfz.251/21 Drilling, Sd.Kfz.234/2, /3, /4 and a whole heap more! Highly recommended.
