It tells the history of SS-Panzer-Regiment.1 ‘Leibstandarte’ during the battle of Normandy, under the command of SS-Obersturmbannführer Peiper. The book focuses on the unit’s refitting in Belgium during 1944, and subsequent combat during the Battle of Normandy from mid-July until the retreat to the Seine at the end of August. This limited edition work is illustrated with almost 300 photos and documents from the collections of the crews of this famous Panzer-Regiment and private collections. Note that this book is written in French, no English translation is available and that it is unnumbered.
