Panzer Tracts No.22-6: schwerer Zugkraftwagen 12t (Sd.Kfz.8)
A new volume, after nine years, Panzer Tracts No. 22-6 is set to become the definitive reference for all types and variants of the German Sd.Kfz.8 halftrack. This book covers early production models as well as armed and armoured versions, including the wooden Holzenpritsche. It is based on meticulous archival research and precise measurements of surviving vehicles. Spanning 102 pages, it features 26 pages of highly accurate 1:35-scale CAD drawings detailing every variant. The photo selection, typically two per page, prioritises clarity and rarity, making this an essential addition for historians, modellers, and enthusiasts alike.

Author
Tom was from Indiana and spent a year at Purdue University before serving in an armoured unit of the US Army in Germany, later completing nuclear training with the Army. After returning to civilian life, he worked as a nuclear health physicist and consultant to the nuclear industry, living with his family near the US National Archives in Washington, DC. His interest in military history was shaped by stories from his Uncle Ed, who the Wehrmacht had captured in North Africa after an action in which 100 Sherman tanks were destroyed. Tom died in 2012.
