1.1 There will be no delivery until cleared funds have been received (except for business customers where credit facilities have been agreed).
1.2 Payment is taken at the time of ordering.

1.4 Payment by PayPal, Apple Pay, Klarna, iDEAL or credit/debit card. Klarna and iDEAL are only available in the following countries paying in Euros: Germany, Austria, Switzerland (EUR), Poland (EUR), Italy, Spain, Belgium and Netherlands.
1.5 Where prices are converted from British Pounds, our exchange rates are updated daily from Open Exchange Rates plus a markup of 3%.
2.1 The goods will be delivered to the name & address you give when you place your order. Please ensure that your address is correctly spelt – we will send it to the exact address given and will not be responsible for incorrect spelling or ommissions when you placed your order.
2.2 If your order is returned by Royal Mail or courier, we will charge for redelivery. The charge must be paid before the order is reshipped.
2.3 Orders are shipped by Royal Mail second class or UKMail (DHL Parcel) Next Day service (depending on the weight of your order) for the UK, and Airmail, DPD, UPS, Landmark Global (Landmark Economy) or DHL for overseas orders. European and International orders with a value in excess of £50.00 are sent by a tracked service. We take great pride in getting your books to you in pristine condition, and use specialist packaging materials. Trade orders are shipped by UKMail (DHL Parcel), DPD or DHL (depending on the ship to location) and, where charged, are charged from a calculated weight. Please note that customs charges are more likely with some carriers than others.
2.4 We reserve the right to increase postage costs as carriers increase them, without notice.
2.5 Every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been processed (paid for), except for pre-orders and back-orders – where they will be delivered as soon as all items come into stock. Orders shipped by the Landmark Economy service take extra time to transit through our system, and being an economy service, can take up to 3 weeks to arrive. It has also come to our attention that customs charges are more likely with their service to Canada. However, we will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery (such as postal strikes, bad weather, missed deliveries or delayed consignments from printers/publishers). In this case, we will inform you of any significant delay as soon as possible and will give you the option of cancelling your order.
2.6 Any customs charges, domestic taxes and associated handling charges are payable by you.
2.7 Your receipt will be emailed to you, as will your shipping notification and tracking details, if necessary. We are not responsible for incorrectly spelt email addresses or undelivered emails.
2.8 Orders which include a mix of pre-order or back-order and stock items will ship when all items are available.
2.9 If your book is returned to us by the mail service or courier due to the address being incorrect, we reserve the right to charge to re-ship your order. The charge is the shipping cost as calculated by the shopping cart for your order; for UK orders this is £3.20 for second class post under 2kg, or £6.00 for courier
2.10 We are happy to deliver your goods to a freight forwarder or secondary shipping address. If the goods are signed for as recieved in good condition, we will not be responsible for any damage that subsequently occurs.
3.1 Goods are at your risk from the time of delivery to the address given.
3.2 Ownership of the goods shall not pass to you until we have received in full (in cleared funds) all sums due to it in respect of the goods and all other sums which are or which become due to us from you on any account.
3.3 We shall be entitled to recover payment for the goods even though ownership of any of the goods has not passed from us.
4. Damages, Returns and Refunds
4.1 If the book you bought from this website is damaged, please contact us within three days (24 hours for business customers) and keep the packaging as evidence. We will require photographs of damage to the books and packaging to claim compensation from the carrier. For trade orders, replacement books will ship once photographic evidence of damage has been received.
4.2 If you bought your book from another source and it is damaged or defective, please contact them.
4.3 Royal Mail will not consider a claim for a lost item until 15 working days after the expected delivery date for UK 2nd class orders, or 20 working days after the expected delivery date for European orders and 25 working days after the expected delivery date for ‘rest of world’ orders. Therefore please allow 15 working days before contacting us about a possible loss for UK orders, or 20 working days for European orders and 25 working days for international orders.
4.4 If you fail to take delivery because you have cancelled your contract under the Distance Selling Regulations (DSR), please e-mail us within seven days of receiving your order, and we will refund you within 30 days for the sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods. On exercising your right to cancel you will be required to return the goods in ‘as new’ condition, in the original packaging and at your own expense. Should you fail to return the goods, we reserve the right to deduct any direct costs incurred by us in retrieving the goods as a result of such failure. Distance Selling Regulations do not apply to business customers.
4.5 If you are returning an order for refund, we will refund you once we have received the order back.
4.6 If you are eligible for a refund, we will refund to the payment method used to pay for your order. Please note: It is your responsibility to notify us of any changes to your card or contact details. Refunds can take up to 14 days to process after we receive the goods.
4.7 If you return your book for a refund and we are charged a customs fee by UK Border Force, we will deduct this fee from your refund.
5. Price, Pre-orders & Back-orders
5.1 Prices given in advertisements and mailshots are correct at the time of publication or sending, and we reserve the right to increase (or decrease) the prices on this website and other online marketplaces as necessary.
5.2 Pre-orders are, by definition, orders placed before publication of the book. When the book is published, the normal price is charged. Payment is taken at the time of order.
5.3 Pre-order prices and special offers are only available to retail orders placed on this website and are not available to trade customers.
5.4 Publication and availability dates are given in good faith based upon information from suppliers, but are liable to change.
5.5 Back-orders are orders placed for items that are not in stock and will ship as soon as the book comes into stock.
5.6 Discount codes given for leaving a review can be used a total of three times. We do not retrospectively apply the codes (for example if you forgot, the code expired or emails were delayed). The code will not work on books from the following publishers: DeLaVer, Leaping Horseman, Zeughaus Verlag and Luftfahrtverlag-Start.

6.4 If you choose to telephone your credit/debit card details, we will destroy your details after the conclusion of the transaction – we will not keep them on file.
6.5 When your order is shipped, your name and email address are passed to our review system, Reviews.io. If you wish to be removed from the mailing list or Reviews.io, click the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the email or contact us directly.
6.6 Your data is never sold to third parties.
