The German Sturmgeschütz III (assault gun) was the most manufactured German armoured fighting vehicle of WW2. The first Ausf.As entered service in February 1940 and continual development of the vehicle led to the Ausf.G of which Alkett & MIAG assembled nearly 8000. Derivatives included the Sturmhaubitze 42 armed with a 10.5cm howitzer. Almost 1200 Sturmgeschütz IV were built on the chassis of the Pz.Kpfw IV by Krupp-Gruson from January 1944 until the end of the war. We have a selection of Sturmgeschütz books from PeKo Publishing and modelling books on the StuG III by Canfora Design and Publishing. Furthermore, every Panzerwrecks series book includes the vehicle.
